Our project coordinator Lukas Schmidt presented the HBI C-Flex project at the annual meeting of the Technical Group Steel 1 (TGA1) on October 22^nd, 2024. The session was led by Mrs. Caterina Verde from the Research Executive Agency, with Mr. Bernard Vanderheyden as Chair and Mr. Eros Faraci as Vice-Chair. Our HBI C-Flex colleague Jan van der Stel joined as a Technical Group member.

Lukas highlighted the main objectives, expected results and impacts of HBI C-Flex as well as the communication, dissemination and exploitation strategies of our project. It was confirmed that the work on HBI production, storage and transport is an important topic for the future considering low-quality iron ores and hydrogen-based direct reduction.
